Training Matters magazine recently hosted a spectacular Recognition of Excellence (RoE) 2018 awards to recognise and reward the very best in community pharmacy.

The ceremony took place in London’s Dorchester hotel on 20 June, following a gala lunch. The RoE awards champion the often unsung heroes of pharmacy, from medicines counter assistants and pharmacy technicians to delivery drivers, who often go above and beyond their duty to support their community.

The event was attended by 30 finalists, as well as the top brass of the pharmacy industry and special guest speaker and rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson. Independent community pharmacies were well represented, scooping six of the 11 category wins. The award categories include Customer Care, Healthy Living Advisor, Counter Intelligence, Retail Skills, Service Excellence and Innovation.
