CIG Healthcare Partnership has worked with Omega Pharma to launch a new style of pain relief training for the pharmacist that updates them on latest OTC developments, accompanied by a team workbook.

An expert panel of specialist pharmacists inputted to the training, which helps pharmacists understand NICE guidance around appropriate pain relief advice for the different types of pain that bring customers to the pharmacy counter. It also ensures that pharmacists know the importance of their role in training staff to provide effective pain relief advice to customers.

The pack has been tailored for use by the entire pharmacy team. It provides an interactive learning environment and caters to varied learning styles. The materials were distributed by Omega Pharma to sales forces this summer, and were published in the June issue of Pharmacy Magazine.
